Traits

Devil's Sight. Magical darkness doesn't impede the devil's darkvision.

Magic Resistance. The devil has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. The devil makes two attacks: If a creature is stung by its horn, it may use its multiattack to bite twice.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage.

Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 60 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage. The target must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving or the horn buries itself deep inside its target, held in place by numerous barbs on the horn's surface.
Each round thereafter that a creature remains impaled by a horn, it takes additional horn damage automatically and incurs a cumulative -1 circumstance penalty on attack rolls, saves, and skill checks. On the bonespear's turn in subsequent rounds, it attempts to drag the target closer to itself so it can begin to feast. Each subsequent failure incurs 2d4 (5) poison damage, and their Strength Score is lowered by 1. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Drag: After spearing a victim, a bonespear attempts to drag the victim closer on the bonespear's turn in each subsequent round.  The bonespear must use its whole action to drag its victim 10 feet closer +1 foot for each point by which its Strength check exceeds the victim's. The bonespear gains a +4 bonus on its drag check if it is set in its immobile stance. Against a Medium-size victim, the bonespear's Strength modifier is +10, or +14 if it is set in its stance. A bonespear can draw in a creature from a distance of 10 feet or less and bite with a +4 bonus on its attack roll in the same round.

Description

Horns: If a horn misses its intended target, it is quickly reeled in. Reeling in a horn is a full-round action. Each horn has a range of 60 feet (no range increment). A bonespear will always try to hit a single target with both horns, but is capable of attaching to two different targets at the same time.

Hellish Suffusion: At the end of its turn, if the bone has more than 1 hit point remaining, the the heat from the Nine Hells restores 5 points of health. On top of this healing, if a bonespear has a creature attached with its horn, it will also heal equal to the amount of poison damage its target takes.

Immobile Stance: If a creature is attached to it's horn, it will lock its 6 clawed feet into the ground, securing it in place until the creature is dragged to it so it may begin to feast. It has advantage of Strength (Athletics) Checks in this state, and its speed reduces to 0.
