Shadow Possession. As an action, the Shade can possess a suit of armor or some other similar object. While it is possessing the object, its AC increases by 4 and it cannot be detected by sight. The Armor Shade is separate from the object it is possessing, hiding in its shadow. Whenever the object that is being possessed is attacked, instead of taking damage the object it is possessing falls to the ground. At the start of the Armor Shade's next turn, they use Shadow Possession again to pick up the object that they were hiding in. When this happens the person that attacked the shade must succeed a DC:14 perception check to notice that the shadow of the object did not follow it as it fell revealing the Armor Shade to them. Once revealed, the Armor Shade may be attacked directly. Shadow Possession cannot take place in areas with bright light.
Bright Light Sensitivity. The Armor Shade takes 10 radiant damage if it starts or ends its turn in bright light. If Shadow Possession is active, it ignores this effect unless it is in direct sunlight.
Multiattack. The Armor Shade may make two Longsword attacks or two Claw attacks
Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 6) slashing damage. (This attack may only be done while possessing a suit of armor)
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) piercing damage. (This attack will reveal the Armor Shade)
Snuff Out. As a bonus action, the Armor Shade can extinguish any source of light that is smaller than 1 cubic foot within a 20ft radius.
Escape to Darkness. As a reaction, if the Armor Shade comes into contact with bright light, it may move up to 30ft directly away from the light.
