Traits

Keen Sight and Smell. The vulture has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight or smell.

Pack Tactics. The vulture has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the vulture's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Pestilent Presence. The vulture's body carries terrible plagues within it. Creatures that start their turn within 20 feet of it must succeed a DC 15 Constitution saving throw against disease or contract flesh rot. A creature with flesh rot is vulnerable to all damage and has disadvantage on ability checks and saving throws using Charisma as their flesh falls from their bones in fetid clumps. At the end of each of the creature's turns, it must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw. After failing three of these saving throws, the disease’s effects last for the duration, and the creature stops making these saves. After succeeding on three of these saving throws, the creature recovers from the disease. This disease can be ended early by anything that cures a disease, such as lesser restoration, lay on hands, or a potion of vitality.

Actions

Multiattack. The vulture makes two attacks: one with its beak and one with its talons.

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage.

Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.

Description

Rotwing vultures are a type of lesser calamity beast that bring terrible plague upon their wings. Even a mere flyby can be enough to expose an entire village, wiping it off the face of Bloomburrow in mere days- or hours.
