Brevlak Bloodpact. The Weakling Smalldragon is under direct control of any relative of the ruling bloodline of Brevlak and everyone the bloodline has granted control. 

Banishment. Should the Bloodpact of Brevlak collapse, the Weakling Smalldragon will tranform back into its adult form and be free of the Bloodpacts control.

Legendary Resistance (1/Day). If the Weakling Smalldragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Dragon Origin. The Weakling Smalldragon has additional Resistance against the damage type of its Bite's elemental damage, dictated by its origin.

Actions

Multiattack. The Weakling Smalldragon can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws or tail.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage plus 4 (1d6) elemental damage (based on the Weakling Smalldragon's origin).

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the Weakling Smalldragon’s choice that is within 60 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Weakling Smalldragon’s Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Elemental Breath (Recharge 6). The Weakling Smalldragon exhales an element in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) elemental damage (based on the Weakling Smalldragon's origin) on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. On a failed save, creatures additionally suffer an additional effect based on the Weakling Smalldragon's origin.

Description

A Weakling Smalldragon created when an Adult Dragon gave up most of its life-essence and its free will to banish the Demonlord "Vrak'kra" when the Bloodpact of Brevlak was consumated. Now, the only aspect of its elemental origin remaining is the color of its scales and its elemental breath. A Weakling Smalldragon distinctly does not look like a young dragon but like an Adult Dragon shrunken to the size of a small bear.

Special Abilities:

 

Black Smalldragon (Attack Enhancement) 

Corrosive Breath Effect: On a failed save, the target’s armor or shield (if made of nonmagical metal) takes a permanent -1 penalty to AC. Armor reduced to an AC of 10 or a shield reduced to a +0 bonus is destroyed.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Corrosive Bite (Recharge 6). The Weakling Black Smalldragon’s bite attack causes intense acid damage. When it hits with a bite attack, the target takes an additional 10 (3d6) acid damage and must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or take 5 (1d10) acid damage at the start of each of its turns for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Middling Smalldragon:

Acidic Claws (Recharge 5-6). The Middling Black Smalldragon’s claws are coated with acid. When it hits with a claw attack, the target takes an additional 21 (6d6) acid damage and must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or take 10 (3d6) acid damage at the start of each of its turns for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Strongling Smalldragon:

Caustic Strike (Recharge 4-6). The Strongling Black Smalldragon’s bite and claw attacks are infused with potent acid. When it hits with a bite or claw attack, the target takes an additional 28 (8d6) acid damage and must succeed on a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or take 14 (4d6) acid damage at the start of each of its turns for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

 

Blue Smalldragon (Bonus Action):

Electrifying Breath Effect: On a failed save, the target is stunned until the end of its next turn.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Static Charge (Bonus Action). The Weakling Blue Smalldragon can charge itself with static electricity. The next creature that hits the dragon with a melee attack takes 10 (3d6) lightning damage.

Middling Smalldragon:

Electrified Charge (Bonus Action). The Middling Blue Smalldragon enhances its static charge. The next creature that hits the dragon with a melee attack takes 21 (6d6) lightning damage and must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn.

Strongling Smalldragon:

Thunderous Charge (Bonus Action). The Strongling Blue Smalldragon enhances its charge with powerful electricity. The next creature that hits the dragon with a melee attack takes 28 (8d6) lightning damage and must succeed on a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or be stunned and knocked prone until the end of its next turn.

 

Brass Smalldragon (Reaction):

Incendiary Breath Effect: On a failed save, the target is set on fire and takes 7 (2d6) fire damage at the start of each of its turns for 1 minute. The fire can be extinguished if the target uses an action or another creature uses an action to help.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Blazing Reflexes (Reaction). When the Weakling Brass Smalldragon is hit by an attack, it can use its reaction to emit a burst of fire. The attacker must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10 (3d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Middling Smalldragon:

Fiery Reflexes (Reaction). When the Middling Brass Smalldragon is hit by an attack, it can use its reaction to emit a more intense burst of fire. The attacker must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Strongling Smalldragon:

Infernal Reflexes (Reaction). When the Strongling Brass Smalldragon is hit by an attack, it can use its reaction to emit a powerful burst of fire. The attacker must make a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

 

Bronze Smalldragon (Reaction):

Concussive Breath Effect: On a failed save, the target is knocked prone and pushed 15 feet away from the dragon.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Metallic Resilience. The Weakling Bronze Smalldragon’s scales harden when struck, giving it advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects for 1 minute after being hit by a melee attack.

Middling Smalldragon:

Enhanced Metallic Resilience. The Middling Bronze Smalldragon’s scales further enhance its defenses. When struck by a melee attack, it gains advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects, and its AC increases by 2 for 1 minute.

Strongling Smalldragon:

Supreme Metallic Resilience. The Strongling Bronze Smalldragon’s scales provide maximum protection. When struck by a melee attack, it gains advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects, its AC increases by 2, and it gains resistance to all damage types for 1 minute.

 

Copper Smalldragon (Passive):

Slowing Breath Effect: On a failed save, the target’s movement speed is halved and it cannot regain hit points until the end of its next turn.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Mirthful Aura. The Weakling Copper Smalldragon’s presence is imbued with magical mirth. Creatures within 10 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw at the start of their turn or be charmed until the start of their next turn.

Middling Smalldragon:

Joyful Aura. The Middling Copper Smalldragon’s aura induces stronger feelings of joy and distraction. Creatures within 20 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw at the start of their turn or be charmed and incapacitated until the start of their next turn.

Strongling Smalldragon:

Ecstatic Aura. The Strongling Copper Smalldragon’s aura overwhelms creatures with ecstasy. Creatures within 30 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 21 Wisdom saving throw at the start of their turn or be charmed and incapacitated for 1 minute. A charmed creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

 

Gold Smalldragon (Passive):

Blinding Breath Effect: On a failed save, the target is blinded until the end of its next turn.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Radiant Shield. The Weakling Gold Smalldragon is surrounded by a protective shield of radiant energy. Any creature that hits the dragon with a melee attack takes 7 (2d6) radiant damage.

Middling Smalldragon:

Radiant Barrier. The Middling Gold Smalldragon’s radiant shield is stronger. Any creature that hits the dragon with a melee attack takes 14 (4d6) radiant damage and must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of its next turn.

Strongling Smalldragon:

Radiant Aegis. The Strongling Gold Smalldragon’s radiant shield is at its peak. Any creature that hits the dragon with a melee attack takes 21 (6d6) radiant damage and must succeed on a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or be blinded and stunned until the end of its next turn.

 

Green Smalldragon (Bonus Action):

Noxious Breath Effect: On a failed save, the target is poisoned for 1 minute. A poisoned target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Toxic Resilience. The Weakling Green Smalldragon has a protective layer of toxins that shields it from harm. As a bonus action, it can use the toxins to gain resistance to one damage type of its choice until the start of its next turn.

Middling Smalldragon:

Venomous Resilience. The Middling Green Smalldragon's toxic layer is stronger, providing greater protection. As a bonus action, it can use the toxins to gain resistance to one damage type of its choice until the start of its next turn. Additionally, any creature that hits the dragon with a melee attack while it has this immunity takes 7 (2d6) poison damage.

Strongling Smalldragon:

Corrosive Resilience. The Strongling Green Smalldragon's toxic layer is at its most potent, offering maximum protection. As a bonus action, it can use the toxins to gain immunity to one damage type of its choice until the start of its next turn. Additionally, any creature that hits the dragon with a melee attack while it has this immunity takes 14 (4d6) poison damage.

 

Red Smalldragon (Attack Enhancement):

Blazing Ruin Effect: On a failed save, the target is scorched by intense flames. In addition to taking the initial fire damage, the target has disadvantage on all saving throws and attack rolls until the end of its next turn.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Inferno Strike (Recharge 6). The Weakling Red Smalldragon can cause its claws to ignite with fire for a single strike. When it hits with a claw attack, it deals an additional 14 (4d6) fire damage and sets the target on fire. The target takes 7 (2d6) fire damage at the start of each of its turns until it or another creature uses an action to douse the flames.

Middling Smalldragon:

Blazing Assault (Recharge 5-6). The Middling Red Smalldragon enhances its Inferno Strike to affect both claw attacks in a Multiattack. Each claw hit deals an additional 21 (6d6) fire damage and sets the target on fire. The target takes 14 (4d6) fire damage at the start of each of its turns until it or another creature uses an action to douse the flames.

Strongling Smalldragon:

Hellfire Onslaught (Recharge 4-6). The Strongling Red Smalldragon further enhances its Blazing Assault. All bite and claw attacks in a Multiattack deal an additional 28 (8d6) fire damage and set the targets on fire. Each affected target takes 21 (6d6) fire damage at the start of each of its turns until it or another creature uses an action to douse the flames.

 

Silver Smalldragon (Passive):

Frostbite Effect: On a failed save, the target’s weapon attacks deal 1d8 less damage until the end of its next turn due to the numbing cold.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Frozen Aura. The Weakling Silver Smalldragon’s presence causes a chilling frost. Creatures that start their turn within 5 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or have their speed reduced by 10 feet until the start of their next turn.

Middling Smalldragon:

Icy Aura. The Middling Silver Smalldragon’s presence exudes a stronger chill. Creatures that start their turn within 10 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or have their speed reduced by 20 feet and take 7 (2d6) cold damage until the start of their next turn.

Strongling Smalldragon:

Glacial Aura. The Strongling Silver Smalldragon’s presence exudes a powerful chill. Creatures that start their turn within 15 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 22 Constitution saving throw or have their speed reduced by 30 feet and take 14 (4d6) cold damage until the start of their next turn. Additionally, the area within 15 feet of the dragon is considered difficult terrain.

 

White Smalldragon (Reaction):

Icy Ground Effect: On a failed save, the target is surrounded by a slick, icy terrain that covers a 10-foot radius centered on the target. Any creature that starts its turn in this area or moves into it for the first time on its turn must succeed on a DC 14/17/20 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. The ice lasts for 1 minute or until a creature uses an action to clear the area.

Weakling Smalldragon:

Icy Deflection. The Weakling White Smalldragon can create a protective barrier of ice. When the dragon is hit by an attack, it can use its reaction to reduce the damage by 10 (3d6). This barrier of ice remains around the dragon, granting it temporary hit points equal to the amount of damage reduced until the start of its next turn.

Middling Smalldragon:

Frozen Barrier. The Middling White Smalldragon's icy protection is more powerful. When the dragon is hit by an attack, it can use its reaction to reduce the damage by 21 (6d6). This barrier of ice remains around the dragon, granting it temporary hit points equal to the amount of damage reduced until the start of its next turn. Additionally, any creature that hits the dragon with a melee attack while it has these temporary hit points takes 7 (2d6) cold damage.
