- Keen Sight: Aerovellus has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
- Aerial Agility: With its four wings, Aerovellus can execute precise and rapid maneuvers in the air, allowing it to avoid danger. It can turn up to 180 degrees during its movement and hover in place.
- Hand-like Grasp: Aerovellus’s unique appendages allow it to grasp and manipulate objects or creatures. It can grapple a creature using its grasping appendages (escape DC 17) and can carry it while flying.
Multiattack. Aerovellus makes two attacks: one with its beak and one with its grasping appendages.
Beak: Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 24 (4d6 + 7) piercing damage.
Grasp: Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d6 + 7) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 17). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the Aerovellus can't grasp another target with this appendage.
Skyward Strike: Aerovellus dives at high speed towards a target and strikes with its beak or grasping appendages. If Aerovellus flies at least 30 feet straight toward a target before hitting with this attack, the attack deals an extra 2d6 damage and the target must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Description
Aerovellus, the Sky Monarch, is a majestic creature that reigns over the skies of high mountain ranges, cliffs, and deep valleys. With a wingspan exceeding 50 feet, Aerovellus glides effortlessly through the air, commanding the sky with grace and power. Its four wings are feathered, resembling those of a dragonfly but made of pristine feathers that shimmer in the sunlight. The creature’s body is sleek and aerodynamic, covered in immaculate feathers that reflect a subtle iridescence.
Unlike typical raptors, Aerovellus possesses hand-like appendages instead of talons. These dexterous limbs allow it to grasp and manipulate objects with precision, giving it an edge over other predators. Its sharp beak is powerful enough to pierce through armor and stone, making it a formidable hunter. Aerovellus’s presence in the sky inspires awe, admiration, and humility in all who behold it.
