Traits

Hive mind. All the blighted ones possess a hive mentality with one another. So generally, where there's one, many follow.

The blighted Scourge. The blighted ones may infect others if they do damage with natural weapons (their body (Claws, fangs, roots).

Shapechanger (2/Day): As an action, the Blighted Scourge Druid can transform into a blighted creature of CR 3 or lower or revert back to its humanoid form. In beast form, it retains its Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores. It gains the benefits of the Blighted Shape feature, including darkvision and an additional +2 to AC.

Defile Ground (Recharge 5-6): As a bonus action, the druid corrupts a 10-foot radius area centered on a point within 60 feet for 1 minute. The area becomes difficult terrain for enemies, and creatures take 1d6 blighted damage the first time they take damage on their turn. This damage increases to 1d8 if the druid is within the area. The druid can move the corrupted ground 30 feet as a bonus action.

Blighted Shape: The druid’s corrupted form grants it +2 AC and spiny protrusions that give it additional protection. While in blighted form, the druid also gains darkvision up to 120 feet and deals an extra 1d6 necrotic damage on all melee attacks.

Blighted creature(2/Day): When a creature within the Defile Ground takes damage, the druid can use its reaction to summon a Blighted Creature in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the creature. (Cant Summon more than a CR 3)

Regeneration: The druid regains 10 hit points at the start of each of its turns. If it takes fire or radiant damage, this trait does not function until the start of its next turn.

Spellcasting. The Blighted Scourge Druid is a 10th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 17, +9 to hit with spell attacks). It has the following druid spells prepared:

Actions

Multiattack. The Blighted Scourge Druid makes two attacks: one with its claws and one with its staff (or spells).

Claws (Beast or Blighted Form). Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 6) slashing damage plus 6 (1d12) necrotic damage.

Corrupted Staff. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 4 (1d8) necrotic damage.

Toxic Spore Cloud (Recharge 5-6). The druid releases a cloud of toxic spores in a 20-foot radius. Each creature in that area must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. A creature that fails the save is also poisoned for 1 minute.

Legendary Actions

The Blighted Scourge Druid can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The druid regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

  • Corrupted Ground: Move the Defile Ground area up to 30 feet.
  • Blight Grasp (Costs 2 Actions): The druid makes a claw attack with an additional 1d10 Blight damage.
  • Summon Blighted Creature (Costs 3 Actions): Summon a Blighted Creature in an unoccupied space within 30 feet.

Description

A once-devoted protector of nature, the Blighted Scourge Druid has succumbed to the infection, becoming an agent of corruption. Twisted by the Blighted Scourge, its body is adorned with jagged growths of corrupted bark, sickly glowing spores, and pulsating veins of blighted energy. Despite retaining its druidic abilities, its spells now defile rather than heal, warping the land into festering, cursed ground where life withers and the Blight thrives. These druids wander the wilds, seeking to spread the infection to untouched lands, summoning blighted creatures and corrupting nature itself in the name of the Supreme Scourge.
