Traits

Divine Stride. While in the Labyrinth of Life, the Avatar cannot become lost, is unaffected by difficult terrain, and its speed cannot be reduced.
Legendary Resistance (3/day). If the Avatar would fail a saving throw, it can choose to succeed, instead.
Volcanic Retribution. Whenever a creature within 10ft of the Avatar hits it with a weapon attack, that creature takes 6 (1d10) Fire damage.

Actions

Multiattack. The tyrannosaurus makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its tail. It can't make both attacks against the same target.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 33 (4d12 + 7) piercing damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 20). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the Avatar can't bite another target.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

Volcanic Breath. The Avatar spews from its mouth a line of flame and molten rock that is 60 ft long and 15 ft wide. Creatures in the line must make a DC 20 DEX save, taking 63 (18d6) Fire damage on a failure, or half as much on a success. Additionally, the space within the line becomes Difficult Terrain until the end of the Avatar’s next turn.

Legendary Actions

Look (1 Action). The Avatar makes a Wis(Perception) check.

Tail (1 Action). The Avatar makes a Tail attack.

Bite (2 Actions). The Avatar makes a Bite attack.

Volcanic Breath (4 Actions). The Avatar immediately recharges and uses its Volcanic Breath ability.

Description

The Grandfather of Dinosaurs, taking a break from dealing with petitioners at his personal Divine Domain. The Hunt is on.

Lair and Lair Actions

At initiative count 20 (losing ties), while the Avatar of Ubato is within the Labyrinth of Life, it can use one of the following options, but not the same option twice in a row:

  • Apex Predator. Each creature of the Avatar’s choice that can see or hear it must succeed on a DC18 WIS save, or become frightened of it for 1 minute. A creature can repeat this save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. Any creature that succeeds the initial or subsequent save becomes immune to this effect for 24 hours.
  • Call of the Wild. The Avatar summons 1d4 Velociraptors to aid it. They appear within 90ft of the Avatar in unoccupied spaces of its choosing. This feature cannot be used again while at least one of the Velociraptors has 1HP or more remaining.
  • Extinction Event. The ground buckles and swells as molten rock pours forth in a 15 ft-radius circle centered on a point the Avatar can see. Each creature other than the Avatar in the area must make a DC 20 Dex save, taking 14 (4d10) Fire damage on a failure, or half as much on a success. Additionally, until the next time this Lair Action is used, if a creature starts its turn inside of, or enters the affected area for the first time on its turn, it takes 7 (2d6) Fire damage.
  • Giant Stomp. Each creature within 20ft of the Avatar must make a DC 20 STR save or be knocked prone.
