Multiattack. The Violet Stalker makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its Tail.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage, and the target must make a DC 14 Strenght saving throw or be knocked prone.
Acid Spray (Recharge 5–6). The Violet Stalker releases a spray of corrosive acid in a 20-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. This acid can melt nonmagical objects in the area, and any metal hit by it begins to corrode.
Burrow Dodge. When a creature makes an attack roll against the Violet Stalker, it can use its reaction to burrow underground, causing the attack to miss if it's not magical. It must immediately move up to half its burrow speed.
Description
Tactics
The Violet Stalker prefers to burrow beneath its prey, using its tremorsense to detect movement. It will strike from below, attempting to hit multiple targets, then retreat into the earth to avoid prolonged combat. When faced with a particularly tough opponent, it uses its Acid Spray ability to soften its foes.
Lore
The Violet Stalker lurks beneath the desert sands, preying on caravans and unsuspecting travelers. Smaller and faster than its massive cousins, it strikes with precision and retreats before its prey can react. The Violet Stalker hunts using the vibrations caused by movement, burrowing silently beneath the sand and rising with deadly force. Legends say that this creature has evolved a deadly acid spray that melts both flesh and metal, making recovery from its attacks nearly impossible.
