Description
Bone Dragons are terrifying undead remnants of ancient dragons, reanimated through dark and forbidden necromantic rituals. Once majestic and powerful beings, they have been twisted by the corrupting power of undeath into skeletal abominations. Stripped of their former intelligence, Bone Dragons are driven solely by an insatiable hunger for death and destruction. Stripped of flesh and muscle, their hollow rib cages rattle with the echoes of death itself as the raw energy of undeath courses through their bones, granting them resilience far beyond that of any living creature. They are difficult to destroy, often rising again after being struck down, unless completely obliterated by radiant energy or powerful holy magic.
Bone Dragons are also capable of spewing forth a necrotic breath that siphons the life force of any creature caught within its grasp, leaving only withered husks in its wake. Though they lack the intelligence and cunning of their living counterparts, Bone Dragons retain a predatory instinct that makes them relentless in battle. They are often found commanding lesser undead creatures, summoning skeletal soldiers or other reanimated abominations to their side. Some Bone Dragons serve as guardians for powerful necromancers or cults, while others roam the land. consumed by an endless drive to spread decay.
