Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Multiattack. The dragon can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (2d10 + 10) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d6 + 10) slashing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (2d8 + 10) bludgeoning damage.
Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 21 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
Breath Weapon (Recharge 5–6) - Light Breath. The dragon exhales a blast of brilliant white/silver light in a 90-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 24 Constitution saving throw, taking 67 (15d8) Radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Change Shape. The dragon magically polymorphs into a humanoid or beast that has a challenge rating no higher than its own, or back into its true form. It reverts to its true form if it dies. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying is absorbed or borne by the new form (the dragon's choice).
In a new form, the dragon retains its alignment, hit points, Hit Dice, ability to speak, proficiencies, Legendary Resistance, lair actions, and Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores, as well as this action. Its statistics and capabilities are otherwise replaced by those of the new form, except any class features or legendary actions of that form.
The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Detect. The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Tail Attack. The dragon makes a tail attack.
Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 15 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw or take 17 (2d6 + 10) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.
Description
Upon the death of Valiant Warrior, a bright unnaturally white light bursts from his body to a hight of 15 feet. All creatures within 300 feet must make a DC 12 Constitution check or be blinded for 1d4 turns. Undead, Abberation, Fey, and Fiend or evil alligned non party creatures must make a second DC 14 Strength saving throw or take 8d8 Radiant Damage
The light coalesces into the shape of a dragon, occupying space where Valiant Warriors body once lay. Any creatures within the space now occupied by the dragon are pushed to the first available space and take no damage. The Spectral vissiage of the dragon is both physically real to the touch, yet almost appears to be transparent, shifting colors from light blue, to silver, to white, making it difficult to look at. All Creatures have disadvantage on all rolls against this creature.
The Stat sheet for an Ancient Spectral Platinum Dragon is passed to the Player of Valiant Warrior, and that Player controls the Dragon as if it his own character. It's size is able to be scaled to fit the available space without hurting members of the Party to no less than Large
Lair and Lair Actions
A spectral projection of Bahumat the Ancient Platinum Dragon
Upon Completion of the battle round, the Ancient Spectral Platinum Dragon will face the Player Characters and open dialogue.
Things players can learn from Bahumat:
- Bahumat will demand any evil aligned players to leave before discussing with the remaining party.
- The Spectral Dragon is a projection of Bahumat, he is projecting himself into the plane to save the party and retrieve the body of Valiant Warrior since his life was cut short before he could prove his worth before Bahumat
- Bahumat previously saved his life when his mother Dvora died attempting to flee with Valiant Warrior.
- The story of Dvora, how Bahumat saved Valiant, and the Heart of Hope Diamond within her grave.
- By strengthening and saving Valiant, if he willingly and unknowingly chose the life of a follower of Justice in it's many forms, he would enhanced with strength and cunning by his "god father" Bahumat
- Players can convince Bahumat to restore his life and allow him to continue if they sufficiently convince him that Valiant's work is not yet complete in the mortal realm
- Players may do so by citing the following
- Times he has done good deeds great or small for his fellow man without selfishness or pride
- What the party has need of from him and his dragon given abilities
- Connecting his life with the potential good achievements in the future, or the potential bad outcomes of his loss.
- Players may do so by citing the following
If players succeed in convincing Bahumat that Valiant Warrior should stay, then Bahumat will only offer to release his body and soul back to the party if they prove themselves in battle with Bahumat.
If the party rejects the offer, Bahumat will gift items of rare status or lower to the party based on thier speicific classes, abilities and desires, but no experience. Bahumat will leave with Valiant's body and the character is dead.
If the party agrees, Bahumat will transport the part magically to the Celestial Plane and into a gladiator arena. He give the party the benefits of a long rest, allow them to organize their affairs, and stand for battle. Evil aligned characters will be allowed to observe unless the party convinces Bahumat of their deeds for the better
Bahumat will fight with all tactics possible and attempt to knock the party unconscious, even kill them in his excitement. Any characters killed this way will be magically restored to life at the end of the battle.
If they succeed in knocking Bahumat unconscious or removing his hit points to less than 1/3 they will win the fight.
If they fail in the above, they instead get the rewards if they had originally rejected the challenge offer, plus 1/3 of the available experience they could have achieved by "killing" Bahumat
If the party succeeds in battle Bahumat will restore to life any killed PC's
Bahumat will grant each person the title of "Order of Bahumat".
Each party member will now have the ability to at will change the color of their hair and eyes to any color they choose
Bahumat will grant full XP at the DM's discretion
Bahumat will grant one item of legendary quality or higher based on each PC's class, abilities and desires. If the player cannot choose what they want, Bahumat agrees to bring them back to Celestia when they are prepared (and in a safe zone) and will hear their petition for an item they want. The DM has authority to accept or reject the request on behalf of Bahumat, or reward a different item as appropriate.
Bahumat will grant Diamonds to the party of 3d20 x 1000 worth of gold
If the Party has not heard the story of Dvora, Bahumat will call forth one of his followers to read the story, and suggest that they investigate her grave
If a party member asks Bahumat for scales of Platinum after their battle to make armor, etc he offers them to accept 1d4 of any scales found on the battlefield from their battle
