Spellcasting: The Bone Tyrant is a 10th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 16, +8 to hit with spell attacks). It has the following spells prepared:
Toll the Dead: The target must succeed on a DC 16 or take 2d12 necrotic damage.
Ray of Sickness: Ranged Spell Attack: +8 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 3d8 poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 16 or be poisoned until the end of its next turn.
Animate Dead: The Bone Tyrant chooses up to 2 small or medium corpses within 10 feet and raises them as skeletons or zombies. They follow the Bone Tyrant's commands.
Undead Fortitude: If damage reduces the Bone Tyrant to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the Bone Tyrant drops to 1 hit point instead.
Multiattack. The Bone Tyrant makes two attacks with its Bone Scythe.
Bone Scythe: Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 27 (5d10) slashing damage plus 13 (3d8) necrotic damage.
Grave Command: The Bone Tyrant can command undead creatures within 60 feet that can hear it. They must make a Wisdom saving throw against a DC of 15. On a failure, the undead must use their next action to obey the Bone Tyrant’s command.
Hellfire Orb (1/Day). The Bone Tyrant hurls a magical ball of fire that explodes at a point it can see within 120 feet of it. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw. The sphere spreads around corners. A creature takes 35 (10d6) fire damage and 35 (10d6) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Parry. The Bone Tyrant AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the Bone Tyrant must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.
Description
The Bone Tyrant stands tall and imposing, clad in tattered remnants of ancient armor that seem to meld with its very bones. Its skeletal visage is crowned with a dark, jagged helm, and its empty eye sockets glow with a malevolent green light. Bone and ash swirl around it, creating a macabre aura of death and decay. As it moves, the sound of clattering bones fills the air, a haunting reminder of the countless souls it has claimed. The Bone Tyrant exudes a palpable sense of dread, commanding the attention of all who behold its ghastly form.
