Description
The Blighted Husk is a grotesque, shambling undead creature, twisted beyond recognition by corruption. Once a living being, its flesh has withered and decayed, now resembling something between a corpse and a rotting tree. Its body is covered in patches of dark, necrotic bark, with thorny vines wrapping around its limbs like restraints, digging deep into its putrid flesh.
The Husk’s face is a horrifying visage of decay, with hollow eye sockets that glow faintly with a sickly greenish hue. Its mouth is stretched wide in an unnatural grin, black ichor dripping constantly from its cracked lips and teeth. The creature’s skin is discolored and mottled, a sickly mix of gray and black, as if its very essence has been leeched away by the corruption it serves.
It moves with a slow, jerky gait, its movements uneven and almost puppet-like. Sharp claws extend from its hands—once fingers but now gnarled, sharpened extensions of its body, capable of slicing through flesh with ease. Each step it takes leaves a faint trail of blackened liquid, and wherever it treads, the ground seems to darken and rot.
Though the Blighted Husk is a relatively simple creature, it exudes an aura of decay and disease, a constant reminder of the corruption that birthed it. The presence of a Blighted Husk taints the air, making it difficult to breathe, as if the very life is being drained from the surroundings.
In combat, the Husk may explode in a burst of necrotic energy, scattering its foul ichor in all directions and releasing a cloud of noxious spores that choke and burn. Its rotting aura saps the vitality of those who get too close, making it dangerous to engage even at close range.
Despite its seemingly mindless nature, the Blighted Husk is drawn to the living, as if seeking to extinguish any remaining light or hope in the world. Its very existence is a perversion of life and nature, forever cursed to wander as a twisted remnant of what it once was.
