Legendary Resistance (3/Day): If Xolaani fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.

Darkin Resilience: Xolaani regains 20 hit points at the start of her turn if she has at least 1 hit point and can regenerate severed limbs over time. She can be killed only if her body is completely destroyed.

Darkin Siphon: When Xolaani hits a creature with a melee attack, she regains hit points equal to half the damage dealt.

Corrupting Aura: Any creature that starts its turn within 15 feet of Xolaani must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of her until the end of its next turn. Creatures that succeed on the saving throw are immune to this effect for 24 hours.

Actions

Multiattack. Xolaani makes three attacks: two with her Bloodletters and one with Siphon Strike.

Bloodletters. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target., Hit: 20 (3d8 + 7) slashing damage + 9 (2d8) necrotic damage. The target must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be afflicted with the Bleed condition, taking 10 (3d6) necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. The effect lasts until a creature regains hit points or is healed.

Siphon Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 25 (4d8 + 7) slashing damage + 13 (3d8) necrotic damage. Xolaani regains hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt.

Blood Reaping (Recharge 5-6). Xolaani spins in a whirlwind of slashes with her sickles, targeting all creatures within 15 feet. Each creature must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 35 (10d6) slashing damage + 18 (4d8) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Xolaani regains hit points equal to the total necrotic damage dealt.

Legendary Actions

Xolaani can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature's turn. Xolaani regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.

Bloodletter Attack. Xolaani makes one Bloodletter attack.

Teleport. Xolaani magically teleports, along with any equipment she is wearing or carrying, up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space she can see.

Shadow Burst (Costs 2 Actions). Xolaani releases a burst of dark energy in a 20-foot radius. Each creature within the area must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or take 22 (4d10) necrotic damage and be stunned until the end of its next turn.

Lair and Lair Actions

Lair Actions

When fighting inside her lair, Xolaani can invoke the dark power of the Void to take lair actions. On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), she can take a lair action to cause one of the following effects:

  • Blood Rain: Blood begins to rain from the ceiling. All creatures of Xolaani’s choice within 60 feet must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or take 14 (4d6) necrotic damage at the start of their turn for 1 minute. Xolaani regains hit points equal to half the damage dealt.

  • Siphon Shadows: Xolaani summons dark tendrils from the Void. One creature of her choice within 30 feet must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or be restrained by the tendrils. At the start of each of its turns, it takes 13 (3d8) necrotic damage.
