- Vaelorn regenerates 30 hit points at the start of each of his turns unless he is in an area of bright light. If he takes radiant damage, his regeneration is suppressed until the end of his next turn.

Curse of the Dark Moon:
- Once per day, Vaelorn can curse a creature within 120 feet. The cursed creature has disadvantage on all attack rolls and saving throws for 24 hours. This curse can only be removed by a Wish spell or divine intervention.

Darkness Reborn (Mythic Trait):
- If Vaelorn is reduced to 0 hit points, he instead is reduced to 1 hit point and becomes shrouded in absolute darkness. For the next minute, all creatures within 120 feet are blinded, and Vaelorn gains temporary hit points equal to half his maximum hit points (300). During this state, his melee attacks deal an additional 50 necrotic damage.

Veil of Shadows:
- Once per long rest, Vaelorn can create an area of magical darkness that covers a 300-foot radius for 1 hour. Within this area, all creatures have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks, and only creatures with truesight can see through the darkness. Additionally, creatures of Vaelorn’s choice within the area are granted Invisibility for the duration.

Necrotic Surge (Recharge 5-6): Vaelorn releases a wave of necrotic energy. All creatures in a 240-foot-radius sphere must make a DC 26 Constitution saving throw or take 100 (20d10) necrotic damage and be stunned for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns.

Umbral Chains (Recharge 6): Vaelorn conjures shadowy chains that erupt from the ground. Each creature in a 120-foot radius must make a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw or become restrained by the chains. Restrained creatures take 30 (6d10) necrotic damage at the start of each of their turns. They can attempt to break free with a DC 25 Strength check.
1. Shadow Veil
- Description: Vaelorn envelops himself or an ally in a shroud of shadows, enhancing their stealth and evasion.
- Effect: Choose one creature within 30 feet. The target gains advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and is considered invisible until the start of Vaelorn’s next turn or until they make an attack or cast a spell. Additionally, if the target takes damage while invisible, they can immediately teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space they can see.
2. Dark Rejuvenation
- Description: Vaelorn harnesses the power of shadows to heal himself or an ally.
- Effect: Vaelorn or one creature within 30 feet regains 2d8 hit points. If the target is in dim light or darkness, they regain an additional 2d8 hit points. Additionally, the target gains advantage on their next saving throw against being frightened or charmed.

Shadow Step Dodge:
- Trigger: Vaelorn is targeted by a melee or ranged attack.
- Effect: Vaelorn uses his shadowy form to teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space he can see, avoiding the attack entirely. The attacker must then succeed on a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw or be disoriented, granting Vaelorn advantage on attacks against them until the end of his next turn.

Chains of Despair:
- Trigger: A creature within 120 feet of Vaelorn casts a spell or attempts to flee.
- Effect: Vaelorn conjures shadowy chains that reach out from the ground and attempt to restrain the target. The creature must succeed on a DC 26 Strength saving throw or become restrained until the end of Vaelorn's next turn. While restrained, the creature takes 20 necrotic damage at the start of its turn.

Umbral Shield:
- Trigger: Vaelorn is about to be hit by a spell or attack that deals radiant or force damage.
- Effect: Vaelorn conjures a shield of darkness, absorbing the energy of the attack. He takes no damage from the attack, and instead gains temporary hit points equal to the damage the attack would have dealt. This reaction can only be used once per long rest.

Shadow Strike (Costs 1 Action):
- Vaelorn strikes a creature within 10 feet with a tendril of shadow. The target must make a DC 24 Dexterity saving throw or take 25 necrotic damage and have its speed reduced to 0 until the end of its next turn.

Entropic Grasp (Costs 2 Actions):
- Vaelorn reaches into the shadows and grasps a creature within 60 feet. The creature must make a DC 26 Strength saving throw or be pulled 30 feet toward Vaelorn and restrained by shadowy chains. While restrained, the creature takes 20 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns until it breaks free (DC 26 Strength or Dexterity check).

Abyssal Howl (Costs 3 Actions):
- Vaelorn unleashes a terrifying howl of shadow that reverberates across the battlefield. Each creature within 120 feet that can hear him must make a DC 24 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. While frightened, a creature must use its movement to flee from Vaelorn. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

- Description: Vaelorn conjures a tempest of darkness and shadow, unleashing chaotic energy across the battlefield.
- Effect: Each creature within a 300-foot radius of Vaelorn must make a DC 27 Dexterity saving throw.
- On Failure: The creature takes 150 (30d10) necrotic damage and is blinded until the end of their next turn.
- On Success: The creature takes half damage and is not blinded.
- Additional Effect: The area becomes heavily obscured until the start of Vaelorn's next turn.
2. Umbral Grasp
- Description: Vaelorn extends tendrils of darkness to ensnare and immobilize his foes.
- Effect: Vaelorn targets one creature within 60 feet. The target must make a DC 27 Strength saving throw.
- On Failure: The creature is restrained for 1 minute. At the start of each of its turns, it can make a new saving throw to end the effect on itself.
- On Success: The creature is not restrained.
- Additional Effect: While restrained, the creature takes 20 (4d10) necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns.
Description
Vaelorn’s avatar is a gargantuan, dark fiendish figure cloaked in shadows. His form is ethereal, constantly shifting between shadow and substance, and his very presence warps reality and instills fear in those nearby.
