Traits

Water Sense. Suppose a creature is wet due to an attack by this monster. In that case, the water demon can forfeit one of its attacks to draw the water off of the creature's body and back to itself allowing it to predict the creature's movement on his/her next turn, giving it advantage on any attack made by the player. However, this effect only stands for one turn and the creature can roll a wisdom saving throw preventing this effect if they roll above a 15.

Cute. This monster has two forms, one being large and menacing, the other being small and cute. In this cute form, the monster is granted advantage on any persuasion roll it wishes to make.

Actions

Multi-Attack. This creature can attack twice per turn if it rolls 14 or higher on a d20, and if this criterion is met, it can use any combination of its attacks (being two attacks).

Raging Waves. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 7ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

Splash. RangedWeapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 30/100 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Bonus Actions

Blub-Blub. After this creature has finished its main action, it can scream in its native language Blub-Blub. If a creature fails a Wisdom saving throw of 10, it will laugh during its next turn causing disadvantage on Dex, Wis, and Int rolls.

Reactions

You Meanie-Weenie. If a creature does over 40 damage to this monster in one attack, the water demon can regenerate 2d8 of health if it returns to its cute form for one turn.

Description

This monster has two forms: cute and behemoth. In its cute form, this monster appears as if it were a blob of water that glides along the ground with two noodle-like arms, two huge round eyes, and a little mouth. When in its behemoth form, the water blob becomes much larger, about 15 feet tall, with huge muscles and its face becomes distorted and rather terrifying.

Lair and Lair Actions

This monster lives in the cave systems deep in the Ranges of Highstil. It's Lair has no effect on it besides the caves being prone to collapse after major events, say a water demon fighting another creature. The cave systems run deep through the mountains and are mostly grey wet rock with moss and a few torches scattered about.
