Nocturne. Lesser Dragons' Darkvision retains effectiveness in both normal and magical darkness.
Multiattack. The dragon makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.
Darkness (Recharge 5–6). The dragon exhales a cloud of pure darkness in a 30-foot cone. Each creature without darkvision in that area must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking on the full effects of the Darkness spell on a failed save, or only gaining disadvantage on attack rolls while in the affected area on a success. This only one cone can be active at a time.
Dragon Fear (Recharge 5 - 6). The primal fear of prey in the presence of an apex predator is foisted upon those in the surrounding area. Every creature in a 15ft. radius must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw, or be frightened of the Lesser Dragon. Every creature within 30ft. must make a DC 12 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened. The saving throw can be repeated at the beginning of all the affected creatures' turns until they succeed.
Description
Descendants of the dragon bloodline that could not live up to the power of their ancestors. Generally a greedy, inquisitive, cunning bunch, the Lesser Dragons also have an inferiority complex around true Dragons.
Lesser Black Dragons, much like actual Black Dragons, are ambush hunters and mostly function at night.
