Blood Scent. The hyena has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) and Wisdom (Survival) checks made to locate a creature that doesn't have all its hit points. Additionally, the hyena has advantage on its first Bite attack each turn against a creature below half its hit point maximum.
Pack Hunter. The hyena has advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the hyena's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.
Death Snap. When the hyena is reduced to 0 hit points, it can immediately make one Bite attack against a creature within its reach before dying, provided it isn't incapacitated.
That should copy into the rich-text editor the same way your original statblock was formatted: bold-italic action names, italic attack labels and Hit:, with everything else normal.
Multiattack. The hyena makes two attacks, using Bite or Unbalancing Lunge in any combination. It can use Unbalancing Lunge only once as part of this Multiattack.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d10 + 3) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) necrotic damage. If the target is below half its hit point maximum, the necrotic damage increases to 7 (2d6).
Unbalancing Lunge. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d10 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target fails the saving throw, the hyena can immediately move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks from that creature.
Abyssal Cackle (Recharge 5–6). The hyena releases an unnatural, echoing cackle. Each enemy within 30 feet of the hyena that can hear it must make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 7 (2d6) psychic damage and is frightened of the hyena until the end of the hyena's next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't frightened. The hyena can then move up to half its speed.
Savage the Fallen. Immediately after the hyena hits a prone creature with its Bite, it can tear into the target. The target takes an additional 5 (1d10) necrotic damage, and the hyena gains 5 temporary hit points. The hyena can use Savage the Fallen only once per turn.
Blood Frenzy. When the hyena's caregiver is hit by an attack and the attacker is within 10 feet of the hyena, the hyena can move up to 10 feet toward the attacker and make one Bite attack against it. This movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks.
Description
Stronger and smarter than their beastly counterparts, abyssal hyenas crawl out of the Abyssal Wasteland to feed on corpses gnolls leave in their wake. When reinforcements are needed, gnoll spellcasters can use magic to transform abyssal hyenas into gnolls.
