Description

Aoyin, found in elevated mountainous regions, are frequently misidentified as ordinary cattle at first sight; however, they are actually ferocious beings characterized by a cruel intelligence. The most apparent indicators that aoyin are not the typically docile herbivores they seem to be are the numerous horns that spiral from their robust heads and the sharp fangs that fill their mouths. Nevertheless, inattentive individuals often approach too closely to the aoyin before recognizing these unusual traits, rendering them easy targets for these malevolent creatures, who readily exploit such oversights. Aoyin are predominantly carnivorous, consuming various forms of meat, including each other when other prey is scarce, but they exhibit a particular preference for humanoid flesh above all else. Each aoyin appears to develop a specific affinity for a certain humanoid species and can sometimes be overheard advocating for the superiority of their preferred type to fellow aoyin. Generally, aoyin are slightly larger and heavier than typical cattle. In combat, aoyin tend to charge at their adversaries, impaling them on their horns and then violently smashing them against the surrounding environment or other beings.
