Lightning Link. As a bonus action, the thunderlizard arcs lightning between itself and another thunderlizard within 100 feet. Each creature within the 5 ft. line arc must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 11 (2d10) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Deadly Charge. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 27 (6d6 + 6) piercing damage plus 16 (3d10) lightning damage. The thunderlizard must charge in a straight line across unobstructed terrain up to double it's remaining movement speed toward a single target. It cannot charge any target less than 15 ft. away. The target must make a DC 20 Strength (Athletics) check. On failure, the thunderlizard uses the rest of it's speed to push the target and knocking it prone 5 ft. away from the end of it's charge.
Gore. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (3d6 + 6) piercing damage plus 11 (2d10) lightning damage.
Lightning Arc (Recharge 5–6). The thunderlizard sheds lightning in a 100-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 33 (6d10) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Description
The Bluespawn Thunderlizards are spawn of Tiamat that come from blue dragon eggs. They have no wings but a noticeable nasal horn like their blue dragon kin. They are fierce brutes and make devastating mounts in battle.
They prefer to open their attack by charging the nearest enemy they can see, followed by unleashing lightning from their horn and goring their enemy. Note, the thunderlizard is not very intelligent and focuses exclusively on one foe at a time. This means that they will not always line up multiple targets with their lightning. When an enemy is defeated, they will repeat the charge to close with the next enemy they can see.
When in a group, Bluespawn Thunderlizards are significantly harder due to their passive lightning link ability. Treat them as CR 7 when there are two or more together.
(The Bluespawn Thunderlizard has been adapted from Red Hand of Doom page 117).
