Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Sulfur aura. The dragon sheds a fine dust of sulfur crystals in a 10ft radius. These crystals coat the ground under the aura. For each 5ft a creature moves through the coated ground it takes 2 (1d4) poison damage. A creature can choose to move at half its speed so as to not disturb the crystals, a creature that does not need to breathe is immune to this damage. The crystals disappear at the start of the dragon's next turn if the aura is not over the affected area.
Multiattack. The dragon can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 17 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage and 7 (2d6) poison damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 ft., 1 target. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
Sulfuric Breath (Recharge 5-6). The dragon exhales a 30ft radius sulphuric cloud of gas in an area within 150ft of the dragon. Each creature in that cloud must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) poison damage and 28 (8d6) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The cloud lasts 1 minute or until a wind of moderate or greater speed (at least 10 miles per hour) disperses it. If a creature inside the cloud speaks or takes a breath in they must remake the save taking half the damage on a fail and a quarter on a successful one. The cloud disappears once the dragon uses its breath weapon again.
Sulfur aura surge (recharge 5-6). The dragon expands its aura to a 20ft radius till the end of its next turn.
The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Detect (Costs 1 Action). The dragon makes a Wisdom perception check.
Tail Attack. (Costs 1 Action). The dragon makes a tail attack.
Wing swipe (Costs 2 Actions). The dragon spins swipping at all creatures within 20ft. Each creature must make a DC 18 Strength save or take 15 (2d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon may roll to recharge either it's breath weapon or aura surge abilities.

Lair and Lair Actions
Sulfur dragons are nomadic and commonly spend their time stalking around volcanic areas or deep within the Underdark. They keep their hoards on them and utilize interdimensional items such as a [bag of holding] to hold their hoards. As such the sulfur dragon can infuse its aura into an area in a 1 minute ritual. Their lair becomes a 100ft radius area covered in yellow sulfur pockets in the earth and rock around them.
Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the adult sulfur dragon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the adult sulfur dragon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Up gust, a Wind blows through the area knocking creatures into the air, each creature within the lair must make a DC 14 strength save or be knocked 10ft into the air.
- Sulfur river, the dragon creates a 100ft long 10ft wide line between two points in its lair. This area becomes a fast-flowing river of sulfuric acid. A creature that touches the Acid takes 2d8 acid damage, a creature half submerged in the river takes 4d8 acid damage, and a fully submerged creature takes 8d8 acid damage.
- Rock slide. The dragon chooses a point within 50ft of it and causes rocks to tumble into the area, each creature in the area must make a DC 14 dexterity save or take 9 (2d8) bludgeoning damage.
