When the Anjanath drops below 50 hit points it becomes enraged and regains 80 hit points. Only when enraged can it use it's fire breath and legendary actions as well as gaining the following abilities.
Enraged Leap. When the Anjanath is enraged and moves at least 20 feet in one direction it can leap up to 35 feet in that same direction to attack a single enemy with its claw attack.
Multiattack. The Anjanath makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its tail. It can't make both attacks against the same target.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 33 (4d12 + 7) piercing damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 18). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the Anjanath can't bite another target.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage.
Gains the following attacks only when Enraged.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (3d6 + 7) slashing damage.
Fire Breath (Recharge 5–6). The Anjanath exhales fire in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw, taking 56 (16d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The Anjanath can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The Anjanath regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Detect(1 Action). The Anjanath makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
Tail Attack(1 Action). The Anjanath makes a tail attack.
Bite Attack(1 Action). The Anjanath makes a bite attack.
Disengage(1 Action). The Anjanath uses the Disengage action and moves half it's movement speed away from the enemy.
Breath Attack(3 Actions). The Anjanath makes a breath attack.
Description
The odor of sulfur and pumice surrounds an Anjanath, it looks similar to a Tyrannosaurus-rex with frills that define its silhouette. Its snout vents smoke at all times, and its eyes dance with flame when it is angry. This enormous predatory wyvern terrorizes all other creatures in its territory. It chases anything it thinks it can eat, and there are few creatures it won’t try to devour whole. When enraged it shows off it's concealed wings as it rages against it's enemy, breathing fire in any direction it believes the enemy to be. It's wings are to small to carry it through the air for long distances.
