Shadowflea's Requiem of Sorrow. Once per day, Valasan can target an area. Each creature in the area is forced to see illusions of those closest to them, and listen to confirmation of their failure in ways they never wish to hear. The illusions seem real to sight, touch and sound. Only once an external force acts in ways that disrupt the illusion shall the creatures realize something is astray. Then, they must succeed a DC19 Charisma save to shake off the shock of the illusion or be stunned for one round. Once this ability is used Valasan may not use it again until the next dawn.
Divine Duplicity. Valasan has an illusory copy of himself that he can swap places with at the start of each turn. The illusory copy takes no damage and cannot be affected by spells. Valasan can also choose to make attacks or cast spells originating from the illustory copy's space. As a bonus action a creature may make an opposed Insight (Wisdom) check against Valasan's Deception (Charisma) check.
Blessing of the Shadowlord. At the start of combat Valasan gains the effect of Mirror Image. This effect is shared with the illusion, which mirrors the exact number of images left on the real version, at the start of each subsequent turn roll a d6, on a 6 the mirror images are refreshed.
Magic Resistance. The Crimson Shadow has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Blackheart's Blessing (Legendary Resistance, 3/day): If Valasan fails a saving through, he can choose to expend a legendary resistance to pass it.
Spellcasting. Valasan is an 14th-level spellcaster. His spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 19, +11 to hit with spell attacks). Valasan can cast disguise self and invisibility at will and has the following cleric spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): fire bolt, toll the dead, word of radiance, chill touch, shocking grasp
1st level (4 slots): guiding bolt, inflict wounds, magic missile
2nd level (3 slots): spiritual weapon, misty step, phantasmal force
3rd level (3 slots): counterspell, spirit guardians, blink
4th level (3 slots): banishment, fire shield
5th level (3 slots): insect plague, flame strike
6th level (1 slot): harm
7th level (1 slot): symbol*
*Valasan casts this spell before the combat
Multiattack Valasan can make 2 attacks with an action, 1 with Shadowblade and 1 with Stealthwhisper.
Shadowblade. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 28 (5d8 + 5); psychic damage
Stealthwhisper. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 22 (3d8 + 5 + 1d6) magical slashing + cold.
Misty Step. As a Bonus Action, Valasan or his Divine Duplicate can cast Misty Step and appear in a space up to 30 ft. away, Using a spell slot.
Spiritual Weapon. As a Bonus Action, Valasan can cast Spiritual Weapon.
Instant Transmission. When being attacked Valasan may use his reaction to swap places with his illusory copy.
Counterspell. Valasan can cast Counterspell at 3rd level. Using a Third level spell slot
Valasan has three legendary actions.
Weapon Attack (1 Action). Valasan can make an attack with one of his weapons.
Spellcasting (1 Action). Valasan can cast a spell of 4th level or lower.
Description
Valasan Tarion is a powerful cleric of the god Mask, claiming to be the true will of the Shadowlord, and the rightful ruler of any country he deems fit. He is an illusionist with the ability to manipulate his victims into seeing their worst fears, and takes pleasure in their torment. He is ruthless and charismatic, willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants.
This guy is a total pain to deal with.
