Traits

Astral Robe. Vanguard Operative RT-2's robe phases between dimensions, making him immune to all nonmagical physical damage. He gains resistance to magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Astral Assassin. RT-2 has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that is affected by fear or if RT-2 completes a teleportation in the same turn.

Neh-thalggu Scourge. RT-2 is adept at fighting aberrations. When fighting aberrations, especially Neh-thalggu, RT-2 deals an additional 10 (3d6) psychic damage with each weapon attack.

Actions

Multiattack. Vanguard Operative RT-2 makes two attacks: one with his Vibroblade Greatsword and one with his DC-76 Laser Rocket Launcher.

Vibroblade Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 23 (4d6 + 5) slashing damage. On a hit, the blade emits an astral hum that deals an additional 9 (2d8) force damage.

DC-76 Laser Rocket Launcher. Ranged Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, range 60/240 ft., one target. Hit: 32 (6d8) radiant damage. The DC-76 also explodes on impact, forcing all creatures in a 10-ft. radius to make a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or take 16 (3d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.

Bonus Actions

Astral Fury (Special Rage). As a bonus action, RT-2 can enter a state of rage, lasting for 1 minute. During his rage, he gains the benefits of the Barbarian's standard Rage, but additionally, every time RT-2 kills a creature, he can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space he can see without provoking opportunity attacks.

Exploit Weakness (Recharge 5-6). RT-2 targets the weak point of a creature he fights. As a bonus action, he chooses a target he's attacked this turn. The target must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the target's next saving throw is made with disadvantage, and RT-2 gains advantage on attack rolls against it until the end of his next turn.

Reactions

Phased Dodge. When targeted by an attack, RT-2 can use his reaction to step partially into the Astral Plane, imposing disadvantage on the attack roll. If an attack misses him this way, he can teleport up to 15 feet.

Description

Description: Vanguard Operative RT-2, once a fierce astral elf barbarian, became a sector elite in the Advanced Recon Commandos, specializing in facing the dreaded Neh-thalggu that wander through the Astral Plane. Encased in a phasing robe that renders him impervious to physical harm, RT-2 strikes swiftly and with devastating power. His vibroblade greatsword hums with lethal energy, and his DC-76 laser rocket launcher is renowned across the planar realms for its explosive precision. Despite his ruthless efficiency, there remains an eerie stillness to RT-2, as though he's part shadow, lurking between dimensions.

Lore: After hunting Neh-thalggu in the far reaches of the Astral Void, Vanguard Operative RT-2 became an enigma among his squad. His time spent facing the lobotomizing horrors of the Neh-thalggu altered his very soul, allowing him to phasing-fuse ordinary matter with astral echoes. Now feared across the realms, RT-2 is a shadowy weapon of unmatched precision and lethality, operating with cold detachment as he shifts between planes.
