Multiattack. The guard drake makes one Bite attack and one Tail attack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Blood Breath (Recharge 5-6): The Blood Drake exhales a torrent of crimson energy in a 20-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw, taking 7 (2d6) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Additionally, creatures that fail the saving throw are also inflicted with the "Bleeding" condition, causing them to take 1d4 necrotic damage at the start of each of their turns for the next minute. A creature can make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the bleeding effect on itself on a success.

Description

Appearance: The Blood Drake is a fearsome creature, its scales a deep crimson that seems to shimmer with an inner fire. Its eyes glow with a malevolent red light, and its fangs and claws are razor-sharp, capable of tearing through flesh and armor alike. The Blood Drake's wings are large and leathery, allowing it to soar through the skies with ease.

Behavior: Blood Drakes are aggressive and territorial, often found guarding ancient ruins or dark forests. They are cunning hunters, using their breath attack to weaken their prey before closing in for the kill. Despite their fearsome nature, Blood Drakes are highly intelligent and can be reasoned with, though they are not easily swayed from their goals.

Lore: Legends say that Blood Drakes were created by a powerful necromancer who infused dragon eggs with dark magic. These creatures are often associated with death and decay, and their presence is considered an ill omen. Some believe that Blood Drakes can be tamed and used as powerful allies, but such endeavors are fraught with danger.
