Description
Shikigami are creations born from Onmyōdō magic and are often expressions of the elements of the surrounding landscape, the forces of nature, the spirits of the dead, or even the gods. A shikigami's power is connected to the spiritual and arcane capabilities of its summoner, growing more powerful if the summoner is experienced in their art. Shikigami may have personalities and goals of their own, and a competent summoner will likely earn the respect of their shikigami. However, if the summoner lacks the power and care to control their shikigami, it may escape its summoner's influence and wander the world, or it may even go mad and kill its summoner.
