The target's Strength score is reduced by 1d6. The bereak adds the target's reductions to its respective Strength and Constitution scores, which lasts up to 24 hours. This reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. The target dies if this reduces its Strength or Constitution to 0. Otherwise, the reduction lasts until the target finishes a long rest. If a humanoid dies from this attack, the bereak Strength and Constitution scores become permanent.
Description
Bereak are undead beings similar to Wights, but are more often fallen berserker tribesman than undead armed forces. They are formed when someone dies after having failed an important task or objective, and blamed their lack of strength and/or toughness as to the reason. The soul comes back to undo their mistake, with newfound strength as an undead with a new, terrifying power.
