Catopic Travel. When Mary is within 5 feet of a reflective surface that she can see, she can use a bonus action to shift from the Material Plane to the Ethereal Plane, or vice versa. When she would enter the Ethereal Plane, she can instead immediately appear within 5 feet of a different mirror in the Material Plane if that mirror is within 30 feet.
Mirror Bound. On the Material Plane, Mary can only move withing a 60 foot cone of the reflective surface at least 1-foot square (such as a mirror, still pool, or polished steel). If she isn't in the span of such a surface's reflection, she immediately shifts to the Ethereal Plane.
Sunlight Weakness. While in sunlight, Mary has disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws.
Multiattack. Mary makes two knife attacks.
Knife. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (4d4 + 3) Slashing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened until the end of Mary's next turn.
Description
In life, Mary was a diviner of simple power. More than a modest housewife, she dabbled in the arcane arts to gain forewarning of storms or know when to seed the next harvest. It washer own death seen in her divination mirror that caused her to go mad, obsessed with preventing her demise. In desperation as the time of her death drew nearer, Mary worked terrible magics - some say inspired by direct contact with a devil. The result is that Mary became an undead thing, clinging to life despite her predicted death. She now haunts the Ethereal Plane, madly searching for the family which she sacrificed to dark powers to prolong her existence beyond her time.
Mirror bound. Just as she was bound in life to the mirrors that divined her demise, in death Mary is bound to mirrors when she interacts with the Material Plane. She cannot manifest and act outide the sight of a mirror. Her affinity for mirrors allows her for great powers of infiltration, a trait for which she is summoned and which causes those who escape her knife to fear any looking glass.
Drawn to Divination. Dimly aware of the powers that brought her final state upon her, Mary is attracted to places where acts of divination take place. In many cases she simply warns the diviner of going too far in pursuit of future knowledge, by showing her visage and otherwise frightening them. But if a diviner continues to push these boundaries, and especially if they seek knowledge of their own fate, Mary is driven to violence and Murder.
At Call and Summons. As part of her arrangement to forestall death, mary is at the call of those diviners and conjurers that would summon her. The ritual requires the recitation of names against mirrors and amid darkness. Most that do call her come to regret it as her violence is cruel, wanton, and without restraint
