Viscous Demise. Upon death, roll a D6. On a 3 or higher, the blot ruptures, coating a 10 foot radius around it in viscous ink. The ink counts as difficult terrain, and any creature that enters it has disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws. Blots are immune to this effect. The ink decays after 2 rounds.
Pack Tactics. The blot has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the blot's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.
Shadowy Form. The blot has advantage on Stealth checks while in dim light or darkness.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage.
Description
Blots are stocky creatures formed of living ink. The knowledge of the rituals to create them are esoteric lore, lost within dark, dusty, forgotten libraries. Due to their pitch-black colouration, they are often used for ambushes in dark environments.
