Detect Life. The weave stalker can magically sense the presence of creatures up to 5 miles away that aren’t undead or constructs. It knows the general direction they’re in but not their exact locations.
Incorporeal Movement. The weave stalker can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 (1d10) force damage if it ends its turn inside an object.
Eerie Presence. If the weave stalker spends 1 minute within 15 feet of a creature without being seen then that creature has disadvantage on its next Wisdom saving throw.
Sunlight Vulnerability. When the weave stalker is exposed to sunlight it takes 1d10 radiant damage that repeats at the beginning of each of its turns. Also, while fully exposed to sunlight the stalker cannot use any of the following features: Incorporeal movement, Shade Speed, Eerie Presence and
Blackened Finger. Melee Spell Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (2d4) necrotic damage and 6 (2d4) psychic damage. If a creature is hit with this attack it must make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn.
Horrifying Visage. Each non-undead creature within 60 feet of the weave stalker that can see it must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, with disadvantage if the weave stalker is within line of sight, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a target’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the target is immune to the stalker’s Horrifying Visage for the next 24 hours.
Lunatic Ramblings (Recharge 6-6). The weave stalker whispers to the corners of the mind of one creature that it can see within 60 feet of it. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw or be drawn towards the stalker, using all of its movement to do so, believing that they must do so alone. On a success the creature knows that something tried to charm it but does not know what or from where. The target is immune to this if they are a construct or are immune to being charmed.
Shadow Stealth. The weave stalker can use the Hide action as a bonus action when in darkness or dim light.
Shade Speed. When a creature moves further than 5 feet away from the weave stalker it may use its reaction to move with them across any distance they travel.
Description
The weave stalker, born of magically caused tragedy, is a large cloud of dark mist, contained inside of which the memories and shattered form of a creature exist. This form resembles whatever the creature looked like in life, though broken and battered. Teeth, eyes, arms, tongues, all of these can make up its form, be wary.
Lair and Lair Actions
Haunt. Objects around the weave stalker float and launch themselves at the creature nearest to the stalker. Three attacks are made on this create, each has +2 to hit and deals 1d4 bludgeoning damage.
Extinguish. Any lights, magical or non-magical within 60 feet of the stalker are extinguished for a round. They return again on the lair's next turn.
Envelope. One creature within 60 feet of the stalker is surrounded by mists and fog, encased in a magical darkness, it can leave this space on its turn but is blinded until it does so.
