Bear Skin Rug of Hugging

Damage Transfer. While it is grappling a creature, the rug takes only half the damage dealt to it, and the creature grappled by the rug takes the other half.

False Appearance. While the rug remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a normal rug.

Multiattack. The Bear Skin Rug of Hugging makes three melee attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws. If both claw attacks hit a Medium or smaller target, the target is grappled (escape DC 16), and the Bear Skin Rug of Hugging uses its Ursine Crush or Smother on it. Or the Bear Skin Rug of Hugging can make one Crushing Blow and one bite attack. 

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 16 (2d8 + 7) slashing damage. 

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 20 (2d12 + 7) piercing damage. 

Crushing Blow. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 25 (4d8 + 7) slashing damage. The target is pushed 15 ft. and must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. After the attack, the Bear Skin Rug of Hugging can shift the same distance the target was pushed without taking opportunity attacks. The Bear Skin Rug of Hugging must end its turn adjacent to the target.

Ursine Crush. Melee Weapon Attack: The Bear Skin Rug of Hugging deals 25 (4d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage to a grappled creature (no attack roll required).

Smother. The Bear Skin Rug of Hugging engulfs a Medium or smaller creature grappled by it. The engulfed target is blinded, restrained, and unable to breathe, and it must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw at the start of each of the Bear Skin Rug of Hugging's turns or take 16 (2d8 + 7) bludgeoning damage. If the Bear Skin Rug of Hugging moves, the engulfed target moves with it. The Bear Skin Rug of Hugging can only have one creature engulfed at a time.
