Traits

Brave. The cultist has advantage on saving throws against being frightened.

Brute. A melee weapon deals one extra die of its damage when the cultist hits with it (included in the attack).

Actions

Multiattack. The cultist makes three melee attacks or two ranged attacks.

Spear. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft. and range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage, or 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage if used with two hands to make a melee attack.

Shield Bash. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Bonus Actions

Grotesque Image. Bloods are tattooed on their faces and necks with arcane glyphs that continually bleed, giving them an intimidating appearance. As a bonus action, a Blood can make an intimidating grimace, fixing its gaze on a single target. If the target can see the Blood, it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened. It may repeat the saving throw at the beginning of each of its turns to end the condition and may then not become frightened again by a Blood until it finishes a long rest.

Reactions

Parry. The cultist adds 3 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the cultist must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

Description

Bloods of the Whispered are the cult’s brutal enforcers, tasked with protecting the cult’s dark agenda and serving as bodyguards to its higher-ranking members. These warriors are feared not just for their savagery, but for their utter lack of empathy—a cold indifference to suffering that chills to the bone.
