Greedy At Heart. The Sandstone Beetle is attracted to gold and all treasure, especially if that treasure consists of a magic item. The Beetle can only be compelled to act contrary to this manner with a spell of the 2nd level or higher that does this.
Knock-Over. When the sandstone beetle is pushed any amount of feet against its will, it makes a Strength Saving Throw (DC Feet pushed - 2) or be knocked prone.
Spider Climb. The Sandstone Beetle can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Stone Camouflage. The Sandstone Beetle has advantage on Stealth checks made to hide in Rocky Terrain.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 8 (2d4 + 3) Slashing damage.
Shell Bash. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) Bludgeoning damage. Target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution Saving Throw or be knocked prone.
Eggstopper. When the Beetle would be pushed, it can lay an egg to block the push. The beetle ignores any feet it would move and instead lays an egg. The egg has AC 15, 15 Hitpoints and vulnerability to Bludgeoning damage. When the egg is destroyed or after one round, The egg spawns a Sandstone Beetle Larvae
Description
Adult Sandstone Beetles lay their young in eggs frequently, spawning a sandstone larvae once hatched. Specific Adults are "Agents of the queen" and appear larger in size and are presumably more hardy, due to being children of their queen.
