Description
The black shuck is an unknown supernatural creature that is said to roam East Anglia. Stories of it's existence were recorded across the British Isles for centuries. The dog has some different descriptions of it’s appearance, some stories saying that he was a large black dog with yellow eyes. Others say that he has red eyes, and one story even says that he had one red eye on his head. Most reports say that he is all black, with shaggy fur and is the size of a calf, or even a horse. Some tales report him as being headless with smoke or flames coming from its neck, while others say that he is floating in the mist. Some say he is part donkey, part horse. He is often terrifying his victims and then leaving them alone. Usually the victims die or become extremely ill. On the other hand some tales, the dog has been seen accompanying women and children when they are walking home, taking the role of a protector rather than a bad omen. And they have even helped travelers find their way home
