Beta Model 2.0

Self Destruction. A Beta Model explodes 1 round after it is destroyed. During this round, the thing shrieks and thrashes about as if undergoing convulsions. On what would normally have been the Beta Model's next action, it explodes. Each creature in a 5 foot radius around the Beta Model must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 17 (5d6) fire damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. Using an action, a creature can make a DC 20 Dexterity (Thieves' Tools or Tinker's Tools) check, halting the Beta Model's self-destruct sequence on a success, but not preventing it from dying. A Beta Model that self-destructs automatically destroys its gemstone, along with any information contained inside it.

Spider Climbing. The Beta Model can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 120/480 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) piercing damage.
