Description
Backstory: Aelric the Veiled was once a revered cleric of a benevolent deity, known for his wisdom and compassion. However, a great tragedy struck when a plague swept through his village, claiming the lives of his loved ones despite his fervent prayers. In his despair, Aelric sought power beyond the divine, turning to forbidden knowledge in his quest to save those he lost. This led him to a dark pact with a malevolent entity, trading the purity of his soul for the ability to grant wishes and make deals. Now, Aelric masquerades as a humble reverent, offering his services to desperate souls seeking hope, all while binding them to a sinister cost: their souls will never see heaven.
Motivation: Aelric believes he is offering a merciful alternative to the inevitability of death. He sees himself as a savior, providing people with the means to achieve their desires, even if it means damning them eternally. His twisted sense of justice drives him to recruit followers who will serve his dark master, expanding his reach and influence.
