Adhesive Surface. A creature that steps on the Black Ice must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or have its foot frozen to the ice. A creature frozen to the Black Ice is restrained and must use an action to succeed on a DC 14 Strength (Athletics) check to free itself.
Life Drain. At the start of its turn, any creature restrained by the Black Ice takes 3 (1d6) cold damage.
Fragile Structure. The Black Ice is considered an object with AC 13 and is immune to psychic and poison damage. If it takes fire or thunder damage, it has disadvantage on saving throws against shattering effects.
Frozen Hold (Recharge 6). The Black Ice creates a wave of freezing energy. Any creature within 5 feet must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or take 6 (2d6) cold damage and be restrained as if by the Adhesive Surface trait.
Description
Black Ice is nearly indistinguishable from normal ice. This sheet of enchanted ice cannot be stepped on, or the victim will be permanently stuck to its surface until the ice is shattered. This ice is much stronger than typical ice and emits harmful freezing energy. If unbothered, Black Ice will spend its entire life in one spot. Unless shattered or melted, this ice will remain alive indefinitely.
