Traits

False Appearance. If the antlion queen is motionless, it can hide inside a pocket dimension, where it can sense nearby large vessels or objects. If a creature hasn't observed the irreqularity in the astral sea, that creature must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom check to discern the area, and not be surprised. The area looks as astral sea converging on a black point, which expands upon the queen attempting to surprise prey.

Legendary Resistance (2/Day). If the antlion queen fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Unusual Nature. The antlion queen doesn’t require air.

Actions

Multiattack. The antlion queen can use Singularity Surge, uses Gravity Reel, and makes two Bite attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (3d8 + 8) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) radiant damage.

Gravity Reel.
Reach 120 ft. one creature. Hit: The target is moved toward the antlion queen 10ft upon a failed Strength Saving throw. Save DC 15.

Singularity Surge
Shrapnel shoots forth from voids in the Antlion Queen's wings. Each creature in a 90-foot cone must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 10d8 piercing damage on a failed save and is knocked prone, or half as much damage on a successful one. Save DC 19. Recharges every 1d4 rounds.

Bonus Actions

Snare Ship (1/Day). The antlion queen weaves a Black Hole at itself. The Black Hole is a sphere of 40ft in length, with a range of 200 feet. The Black Hole lasts for 1.5 minute and suppresses the magic of any spelljamming helm aboard the ship. Decks and other surfaces of the ship that aren't enclosed become difficult terrain until the effect ends. At the end of each round a spelljammer is in the range of the Black Hole the ship moves 15 feet closer. Upon Killing the Antlion Queen, the Black Hole Closes and the effect ends.

Description

An Antlion Queen is a menace native to Proxispace and the Astral Sea. A full-grown specimen has a body 60 feet in length and legs that are at least 20 feet long. When hiding, it encases itself in a pocket dimension, where it can rest until any prey comes by. When it attacks, it pulls in prey via a black hole, destroying large objects to make getting to the softer foods easier.

An Antlion Queen has anywhere of 6-10 Antlion Larvae around it, where it cares for their children until they achieve the middle stage of life. Often times Larvae may join the Queen in ambushing prey.
