Description

The Ancient Vaelin Biostruct was the first line in a Vaelin invasion, typically being dropped from the sky from their spelljamming vessels, these creatures would roam across a planets surface and dissolve organic life using their body's natural acid glands. They would then lay eggs in this dissolved and acidic organic sludge, their eggs eating it like yolk for their embryos before emerging and rapidly aging and joining their brethren.

The Vaelin would then disperse a weak airborne poison that would swiftly kill all gestating eggs and slow and then later kill the still living Biostructs. The Vaelin conquered countless worlds with these Biostructs and their rapidly spreading plaguelike nature, with some worlds thinking they defeated their Vaelin invader ships only to have their planet fully consumed by the Biostructs when the poison dispersal never occurred.

Despite their advanced technology, and effective method of planetary conquering, The Vaelin Empire has not been seen near a Crystal Sphere over a thousand years, although rumors of their sleek dark biomechanical vessels still prowling through the fog of the deep astral are stories told among Spelljammer bars and taverns to this day.
