Description
Bervayn, The Corrupted Scholar
“Once a seeker of knowledge, now a harbinger of ruin, Bervayn is the grim aftermath of unchecked ambition and arcane corruption.”
Appearance: Bervayn’s physical form is a grotesque blend of his original features and the eldritch corruption that has consumed him. His once-angular half-elven face is pallid, with veins of black ichor crawling beneath the surface of his skin. His amber-green eyes burn with a sickly green glow, showing just how deep this insanity goes
Lair and Lair Actions
Wave of Despair: All creatures in the lair must make a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or take 10 (3d6) psychic damage and have disadvantage on attack rolls until the end of their next turn.
Dark Reflection: A mirror-like shadow appears, creating an illusory duplicate of a random party member. The duplicate takes its own turn, mimicking the actions of the original.
Crippling Fear: The lair becomes suffused with terror. All creatures must make a DC 16 Charisma saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. Creatures can repeat the saving throw at the end of their turns.
