Savage Hunger. When the Wendigo hits with a melee attack, it regains hit points equal to the damage dealt.

Actions

 Multiattack. The Wendigo makes three attacks: one with his Bite and two with his Claws.

Devour. (Recharge 5-6): The Wendigo begins to shapeshift its maw and open its mouth. Unless 50 damage is done before its next turn, the Wendigo targets a restrained or incapacitated creature within 5 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or take 54 (12d8) necrotic damage. If this damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the Wendigo regains hit points equal to the target’s maximum hit points.

Legendary Actions

The Wendigo can take 2 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time, and it can be used at the end of another creature's turn. The Wendigo regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

  • Howl of Despair. (Cost 2 Actions): The Wendigo emits a terrifying howl. Each creature within 30 feet that can hear it must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

  • Savage Swipe. The Wendigo makes a Claw attack against a target within reach. If the attack hits, the target must succeed on a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
  • Blood Frenzy. The Wendigo moves up to his speed towards a creature that has less than half of its hit points remaining and makes a Claw attack against it.
