Abyssal Wave (Recharge 5–6). The shark channels its dark energy into the surrounding water. All creatures in a 20-foot radius must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or take 21 (6d6) cold damage and be pushed 10 feet away. Creatures that fail the save are also restrained by freezing water until the end of their next turn.
Frightful Presence (Recharge 5–6). Each creature of the Abyssal Shark's choice within 30 feet and aware of it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Description
A jet black shark, with rough extensions jutting out of the back of its head and tail. They roam areas of the ocean infused with dark energy, using it as fuel for its body. Its teeth are said to be so sharp that they surpass the greatest of swords in terms of piercing power, combined with bone-crushing jaws. The sheer presence of such a creature is enough to strike fear directly in the hearts of almost anything, paralyzing them with terror. The shark possesses the unique ability to channel the frigid temperatures of the water around it and amplify them to be used offensively. The Abyssal Great White is incredibly aggressive, its extremely precise sense of smell allowing it to track prey for miles. If the scent of blood is present, the Abyssal Great White's adrenaline goes off the charts, sending it into a blind rage.
Harvesting an Abyssal Shark with a DC 18 Survival check yields abyssal teeth and flesh infused with dark energy. Abyssal teeth can be crafted into weapons that deal additional psychic damage, and the flesh can be used to brew potions granting temporary cold resistance.
