Hypnotic Fragrance. The vampire rose emits a subtle, mesmerizing fragrance. At the start of each of the vampire rose's turns, any creature within 15 feet of it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become charmed by the rose for 1 minute. While charmed, a creature cannot willingly move away from the rose, and it cannot take reactions. A creature that is attacked or damaged by the rose immediately makes another saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
Sanguine Bloom. For every 20 hit points of damage a vampire rose drains through its Thorn Lash, its blooms shift from white to red. This transformation bolsters the rose's vitality, restoring 10 hit points.
Fearful Bloom. When a vampire rose is struck by a melee attack that deals damage, it sprays blood-like fluid from its thorns and emits a horrific shriek. Each creature within 30 feet that can see or hear the rose must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of its turns, ending the effect on a success. A creature that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to this effect for 24 hours.
Multiattack. The vampire rose makes two attacks with its Thorn Lash.
Thorn Lash. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 2) piercing damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 13). Until this grapple ends, the target takes 9 (1d10 + 2) necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns as the rose drains its blood.
Root Stomp (Recharge 5-6). The vampire rose slams its roots into the ground, sending out a burst of energy. Each creature within 15 feet must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 14 (4d6) bludgeoning damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one.
Description
Terrifying Beauties. Vampire roses are hauntingly beautiful bushes adorned with pristine white blossoms. Often found in graveyards, swamps, or near ancient crypts, they exude an aura of both elegance and death. When they feed, their petals turn a deep, crimson red, a grim reminder of their parasitic nature.
Symbiotic Guardians. These plants are occasionally cultivated by necromancers, druids, or vampires to serve as guardians of sacred or forbidden sites. The rose's ability to hypnotize and drain intruders makes it a formidable, self-sufficient defense.
Grim Reproduction. After draining a victim entirely, a vampire rose's roots bury fragments of the body into the soil, using the remains to grow new rose bushes. Each of these saplings reaches maturity in a year, ready to continue the cycle of predation.
