Actions

Slam:
Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d10 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Blight Spores (Recharge 5–6):
The Blighted Sap Guardian releases a 15-foot-radius cloud of toxic spores centered on itself. Each creature in the area must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw, taking 10 (3d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. Creatures that fail the saving throw are also poisoned for 1 minute.

Description

The Blighted Sap Guardian is a twisted and corrupted tree-like creature, embodying the decay and malevolence of tainted nature. Once a serene protector of its grove, it has been warped by dark magic into a monstrous form.

Appearance:

  • The Guardian’s bark is blackened and cracked, with streaks of glowing green sap oozing from its wounds.
  • Its shape is vaguely humanoid, with gnarled, branch-like arms ending in jagged points, resembling claws.
  • Its face is an eerie, hollow knot in the bark, glowing faintly with an otherworldly green light, giving it a menacing expression.
  • Along its body are pulsating pustules that drip necrotic sap, adding to its grotesque and corrupted appearance.
  • Roots trail behind it as it moves, leaving faint scorch marks on the ground as if leeching life from the earth.

Behavior:

  • The Guardian is slow and deliberate, driven by an instinctual need to protect the corrupted spring or grove it inhabits.
  • Though mindless, it is highly territorial and will attack anything that intrudes on its domain.
  • It uses its toxic aura and blight-spreading abilities to weaken intruders before striking with brute force.
