Posted May 12, 2025First, I love green dragons. Their lore is awesome, and this new serpentine design is awesome.
Oof. Lost proficiency in Con and Cha saves.
Gained multiattack, and Bite was changed to Rend, but is otherwise identical. Can now Rend its opponents twice.
Simple changes, but acceptable nonetheless. I'm not unhappy with this little guy. However, I think I'll fuse the old and new.
Fusion time! One simple change; give them back their saving throw proficiencies. Not the strongest fusion, but one I'll use when making Green Dragon fights.
Edit: Didn't see that they actually kept Dex and Wis save proficiencies.

Posted Apr 28, 2026I find it a little interesting/strange that they never gave green dragons climb speeds in the redesign, even though according to the new lore, green dragons are known for living in forests. Especially the wyrmling redesign, which states they nest in tree branches and roots. AND since they're based on snakes, many of which can climb trees and cave walls. How odd.
I guess I'll just have to add that in my own version, half as fast as walking speed.
