Posted May 14, 2025First, I like how this whole comment section is just "Nothic" with one "Gothic." Second, I like Nothics, and this art is honestly a little strange. My man is drooling onto his eye.
Lost Keen Sight, but this guy got expertise in Perception, raising it from +2 to +4. This in turn raised its passive Perception from 12 to 14.
Claw attack is now Dex based instead of Strength based, changing it from +4 to +5. Damage is also increased from 6(1d6+3) to 8(1d10+3) slashing.
Rotting Gaze is buffed. Used to have a range of 30ft, a DC of 12, and 10(3d6) necrotic. Now, it's a range of 120ft, A DC of 13, and 17(5d6) necrotic.
Weird Insight used to have a range of 30ft, and it involved a Deception check against the Nothic's Insight. Creatures immune to being charmed used to be immune. Now, it has a range of 120ft, is a DC 14 Wisdom save, and creatures immune to being Charmed are no longer safe.
Nothics are a great monster, and this makes them all the more dangerous. Because this new Nothic is better than the old one, there will be no fusion.
