Traits

False Appearance. When the mastyrial is not moving, it is indistinguishable from a stone.

Pack Tactics. The mastyrial has Advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the mastyrial's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally doesn’t have the Incapacitated condition.

Actions

Multiattack. The mastyrial makes one Claws attack, one Bite attack, and one Sting attack. It can also replace one attack with a use of Spellcasting.

Bite. Melee Attack Roll: +6, reach 5 ft. Hit: 10 (3d4 + 3) Piercing damage, or 15 (5d4 + 3) Piercing damage against a creature the mastyrial has Grappled.

Claws. Melee Attack Roll: +6, reach 5 ft. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) Slashing damage. If the target is a creature, the mastyrial attaches to it. While the mastyrial is attached, the target has the Grappled condition (escape DC 14), and the mastyrial can’t make Claws attacks against other targets. In addition, the mastyrial halves the damage it takes (round down), and the target takes the same amount of damage. Creatures have advantage on attacks rolls against an attached mastyrial.

If this attack is made against a creature the mastyrial already has Grappled, it instead deals 13 (3d6 + 3) Slashing damage.

Sting. Melee Attack Roll: +6, reach 5 ft. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 3) Piercing damage plus 2 (1d4) Poison damage, and the target must succeed a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or have the Paralyzed until the end of the mastyrial's next turn.

Spellcasting (Psionics). The mastyrial can cast the following spells, using Wisdom as its spellcasting ability (spell save DC 13):

1/Day Each: Tasha's Mind Whip, Clairvoyance

Reactions

Invisibility (1/Day). Trigger: The mastyrial is hit by an attack. Response: The mastyrial casts Invisibility and moves up to its speed.
