Scavenger’s Endurance. The Baazrag can digest almost anything organic. It is immune to disease and resistant to poison damage.

Burrower. The Baazrag can tunnel through loose sand and dirt at a speed of 10 feet per round. It can use this ability to hide from enemies.

Pack Hunter. The Baazrag has advantage on attack rolls against creatures if at least one ally is within 5 feet of the target and not incapacitated.

 

 

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 12 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Raking Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) slashing damage.

Sand Ambush (Recharge 5-6). If the Baazrag is buried in sand, it can use its action to burst out and make a Bite attack with advantage.

Description

Baazrag are smaller, vicious lizard-dog hybrids bred for scouting and protection. Though often domesticated, wild Baazrag are notorious for ambushing prey and stripping it to the bone with their razor-sharp jaws. They are capable of digging through loose sand to avoid the sun and ambush unwary travelers.
