Charge: If the abyssal cow moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Demonic Aura: At the start of each of the abyssal cow's turns, each creature within 10 feet of it takes 2 (1d4) necrotic damage.
Trampling Bulk: The abyssal cow can move through the space of any Medium or smaller creature. When it does so, the creature must succeed on a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone and take 7 (2d6) bludgeoning damage.
Multiattack: The Abyssal Cow makes two attacks: one with its gore and one with its hooves.
Gore: Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage.
Hooves: Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
Blood Curdling Moo (Recharge 5-6): The abyssal cow releases a terrifying moo in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Description
Resembling a grotesque mockery of a mundane bovine, this demonic creature stands nearly twice the size of a normal cow. Its hide is a patchwork of charred leather and exposed muscle, with smoldering cracks that pulse with an infernal glow. Multiple pairs of twisted horns protrude from its skull in irregular patterns, each one seeming to have been broken and regrown multiple times. Its eyes are absent, replaced by empty, smoking sockets that somehow still track movement with unnerving precision.
The creature's hooves leave scorched impressions in the ground, and its breath manifests as clouds of sulfurous steam. What would be an ordinary cow's udder has transformed into a mass of writhing tentacles that secrete a caustic fluid. A mane of coarse, wire-like hair runs along its spine, occasionally sparking with small electrical discharges.
When it moos, the sound is unnaturally deep and resonates with otherworldly harmonics that inspire primal terror in those who hear it. The creature's mouth houses multiple rows of serrated teeth, more befitting a predator than a grazing animal. Despite its bulk, it moves with an unnatural agility that suggests its infernal nature.
The abyssal cow is believed to be the result of demonic corruption of ordinary cattle, though some scholars suggest they might be deliberate creations of demon lords seeking to mock the natural order. They're occasionally found in small herds within the Abyss, where they graze on fields of crystallized pain and drink from pools of liquid suffering.
