Fiery Spell Shaper

When V'Sala casts a spell that deals fire damage, he can shape the flames to avoid up to 2 creatures he can see. These creatures automatically succeed on their saving throws and take no damage if they would normally take half damage on a successful save.

Innate Spellcasting

V'Sala's spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 16, +8 to hit with spell attacks). He can cast the following spells innately, without using material components:

• Cantrips (at will):
  Fire Bolt, Control Flames, Prestidigitation, Mage Hand
• 1st Level (4 slots):
  Burning Hands, Mage Armor (cast at start of combat), Shield
• 2nd Level (3 slots):
  Scorching Ray, Misty Step
• 3rd Level (3 slots):
  Fireball, Counterspell
• 4th Level (2 slots):
  Wall of Fire, Greater Invisibility
• 5th Level (1 slot):
  Immolation

Multiattack.
V'Sala makes two Fire Bolt attacks or casts a spell and makes one Fire Bolt attack.

Fire Bolt (Cantrip). Ranged Spell Attack: +8 to hit, range 120 ft., one target.
Hit: 19 (4d10) fire damage.

Ember Step.
V'Sala can momentarily wreathe his feet in flame, allowing him to move up to 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks. This movement must be in a straight line, and he leaves a brief trail of harmless embers behind him.

Fiery Shield (2/Day).
When hit by an attack, V'Sala can use his reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll and deal 7 (2d6) fire damage to the attacker if they are within 5 feet of him.
