Innate Spellcasting. Aneth's spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 23, +15 to hit with spell attacks). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: alter self, detect evil and good, fireball, eyebite, wall of fire, detect magic, shield, invisibility.
3/day each: symbol, mental prison, banishment (sends exclusively to hell), hold monster, mass suggestion, scrying, blade barrier,
1/day each: divine word, finger of death, maze, weird, teleport, fire storm
Divine Resistance. Aneth has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects originating from the upper or lower planes.
Legendary Resistance (1/Day). If Aneth fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
The Warden's Gaze. Every turn, Aneth may choose a creature it can see within 300 feet of it and immediately know what that creature will do on their next turn, including anything they will say or how they might react to certain events. This includes insight into its reasoning (if any), its emotional state, and something that looms large in its mind.
Multiattack. Aneth makes two attacks with Hellfire Blast and two attacks with Radiant Chains.
Hellfire Blast. Ranged Spell Attack: +11 to hit, range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) necrotic damage.
Divine Chains. Ranged Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 30ft., two targets. Hit: 15 (1d4 + 10) radiant damage.
Relinquish Control (Recharge 5–6). Raising its crook, Aneth unleashes the raging helfire storming within it. This discharge forms a 90-foot line that is 10 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 54 (12d8) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Judgement of the First Sinner (Recharge 6). Raising its keys, Aneth calls upon the power that keeps all demons sequestered in the lower planes. One creature of Aneth's choice within 400 feet of it must make a DC 23 Wisdom saving throw or be incapacitated, blinded, stunned, restrained, deafened, and petrified for 1 minute. They can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending the effect on a success, and taking 25 (10d4) radiant damage on a failure.
Legendary Actions Aneth can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Aneth regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Imprisoned Aid: Cast one of Dario's cantrips or 1st level spells, alternatively use one of Dario's available bonus actions.
Feeble Familiar (2 actions): Use one of Dario's available actions.
Description
Aneth The Consumed, demon of the lower planes and warden of The Nine Hells stands at just under eight feet tall. Slim compared to its more formidable cousins, the full-blooded fiend arose to the surface world a century or two after Zaraya himself, in search of the prince who evaded his watch. Though like all true demons, Aneth is more concept than creature, the physical form it manifests is much subtler than that of The Brimstone King. Dressed in a deep burgundy suit, it carries a flaming shepherd’s crook and glittering ring of keys; though humanoid in form and stature, the thing's head resembles that of a canine: somewhere between a wolf and a jackal, with piercing green eyes and polished white fangs.
